Nakuru - A member of parliament has said that MCAs are stealing more money by fleecing County governments by manipulating of County bosses.
Nakuru east MP, David Gikaria said that MCAs have in the past two and a half years become rich even than members of parliament.
Speaking Monday in Nakuru town Gikaria wondered how an MCA would all of a sudden own properties worth millions of shillings in a span of two years.
He accused MCAs of stealing more than members of parliament.

“These people have accumulated a lot of wealth within the past two years but when you look at their salary you wonder where they get all the money to buy such properties. They have become richer than us and we even fear that in 2017 they might outdo us financially,” said Gikaria.
He added: “They have learned the act of manipulating governors and County executives into doing whatever they want and that is how they make their money.”
Gikaria claimed that some MCAs have never touched their salary since taking office because they make a lot of money through the backdoor.
“The government should think of doing a lifestyle audit on all MCAs countrywide to establish how they make and use their money because that is one group of people that is fleecing this nation,” he said.
