MCA faces recall for threatening nurse

Vihiga - A member of the Vihiga County Assembly faces a recall by his residents who have been irked by his recent behaviour where he went to a hospital and started abusing the medical practitioners on duty who failed to attend to him immediately.
Last week plans were underway to collect signatures to recall Central Maragoli ward representative Abdalla Chogo for his gross misconduct, which residents have termed perennial.
Addressing groups of boda boda youths at Gambogi market in Hamisi constituency, nominated MCA Nathan Kamidi castigated the behaviour of the said MCA noting that it was uncalled for at this time.
“It would have been prudent for Abdalla Chogo to queue in the health facility, bearing in mind that the nurse in charge that night, was helping another patient who was in a critical condition, rather than threatening to sack her using his powers that be,” said Kamidi.
It is alleged that Chogo went to the Vihiga Health Centre at night and wanted to be immediately attended to oblivious of the fact that there were other patients in the hospital.
But while defending himself on the social media, Chogo noted that he had not gone to the hospital on the said day, and that people were just peddling malicious rumours.
He said that he had only raised alarm, after visiting three health facilities at night and noted that there was only one nurse in charge.
However, Kamidi asked Chogo to come up and apologise to the public for causing disturbance in the health centre at the said night for threatening the nurse. For the latest on national news, politics, sport, entertainment and more follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page!
