MCA donates computers to schools to boost learning

Vihiga - Banja ward Member of the County Assembly, Noah Mmbwanga, has launched an ambitious project to supply to the disadvantaged schools with computers to boost education levels.
The MCA said that he was working towards making sure that schools that have not purchased computers will benefit from the project.
“It is unfortunate that some of our schools have no single computer to help in making learning more efficient. That is why I have decided to help purchase the gadgets and distribute them to the schools,” Mmbwanga said.

He spoke at Kapsotik Secondary school yesterday, when he gave out computers to the school and noted that he had further identified five more schools in the region, which have not had the capacity to purchase computers.
Mmbwanga observed that schools that have installed computers have helped increase their performance, and teachers had little work in programming for the various activities undertaken.
The school Principal, Sylvester Makanu, noted that the donation was a boost to the school and urged the leaders in the County to help the disadvantaged schools in purchasing more computers so that students can be taught computer lessons.
“We have suffered and most of our students have not had an opportunity to learn computer lessons because we lack the materials,” he said.
