Nairobi - Nominated MCA for youth Margret Kiiru has called on Nakuru governor Kinuthia Mbugua to dissolve his government for failing to deliver on the promises he made to county residents.
Kiiru said that the governor is surrounded by people who have been misleading him on how to govern the county.
The nominated MCA said that it is a shame that the governor evicted hawkers and traders from the town centre then claims he regrets evicting them.
“It is high time the governor dissolved his government since he has failed miserably on his work as the leader of this county,” she said.
“The governor has surrounded himself with people who are misleading him on the way forward and that is why we are lagging behind as a county,” she said.
Speaking Thursday in Nakuru town, Kiiru said that the governor should stop using county workers as a scapegoat for not having money to drive any tangible project.
She also said that the Mbugua administration is not inclusive of youths who she claimed they are the biggest contributors of revenue for the county.
“The youths have completely been left out by Mbugua government yet we are the main contributors of revenue,” she said.
Kiiru said that she will start collecting signatures to recall the governor if he fails to step down from the office.
She said that Nakuru County has more competent leaders who can be able to run the county in a better way.
