Nairobi - Dencia, a Nigerian - Cameroonian pop star is back in the social media wars again, this time bashing the “Bring Our Girls Back” protests that have been going on for a few weeks now.
The protests were sparked after the Boko Haram kidnapped over 200 school girls, and are still to date holding them captive.
In a post made on Instagram and Twitter, the Pop star says that most people didn’t even care about it until some American stars spoke about it.
She wrote “I ain't scared of any1 & I will say it again, African celebrities didn't show any damn concern until the Americans started.” She goes on to claim that effort should be made to find the Boko Haram and not the girls and that protests will not change anything in Nigeria and people should just drop it.
This comes months after bashing Lupita Nyongo on social media after she spoke up against her Skin Bleaching product called “Whitenicious” in response to a young lady who wrote her a letter saying that she has been thinking of using the skin bleaching product but had decided against it.
