Lorry damages 11 vehicles at a park

A bin carrier lorry rammed into the car park at the Ministry of Public Health damaging 11 cars.
Confirming the incident, the Ministry's Public Relations Officer John Kinuthia said that the incident occurred Wednesday night. It was suspected that the lorry's breaks failed as it moved down the Milimani Law Courts' steep slope.
This forced the driver to turn the lorry towards the Ministry's brick-walled boundary for a halt but ended up ramming into the car park causing the destruction.
Kinuthia said the driver was badly injured in the incident and was rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
He said that the area has been a black spot, recording such three incidents with the last one having occurred three months ago.
Kinuthia said that a barrier should be built around the Ministry's boundary to curb massive destruction on vehicles in the parking lot in event of such incidents.
