Local universities set for arts battle

Nairobi - Five of Kenya’s biggest universities are set to do battle Friday for a prize reward of KES 300,000.
The event sees Kenyatta University KU, United States International University USIU, KCA University, Mount Kenya University MKU and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology JKUAT, go head to head on stage on what is called “Campus Battle”.
It is set to bring together students form these different universities onto one stage to showcase their talent in comedy, dance, fashion and rap, with the hottest talent walking away with the money.

It also brings together some of the industry's greatest performers, from the music industry and the comical arts with the likes of DJ Joe Mfalme and Eric Omondi set to grace the stage. Teacher Wanjiku is also set to make a comeback after months of absenteeism.
The judge for this event will be none other than Ian Mbugua, of Kenya’s biggest talent show, The Tusker Project Fame.
Tickets are going for KES 100 with the event set to kick off at 6 PM all the way till midnight.
