Nyeri - An Assistant Chief from Ngiriche sub-Location in Kirinyaga County has been seriously injured after some suspected illicit liquor brewers allegedly petrol-bombed his house.
Stephenson Njogu also lost an assortment of domestic goods after the bomb exploded inside his house on Sunday midnight.
The shaken administrator said he suspected his nine neighbors were involved in the incident due to his harsh stand on the illicit liquor.

“I have constantly frustrated their efforts to brew and sell the stuff in my area and as you can see, it is clear they are responsible for this attack having accosted me earlier, threatened and called me names,” Njogu narrated.
The fire was later extinguished though nothing was salvaged from the house while the suspects have since gone underground with police in hot pursuit.
