Larry Madowo caves in, opens Whatsapp line

Nairobi - The Trend, one of the most watched TV shows in Kenya has
finally caved in to threats issued by many of its fans. Its host Larry Madowo,
announced this via social media, telling his fans that they had finally won the
battle. The battle in question was over the fact that the show did not have a
WhatsApp line where its fans could get to interact with and send messages and
content to the show’s producers.
WhatsApp has become a big part of everyday life for Kenyans,
and many establishments and individuals who don’t have the application are seen
as being odd. From the kind of reception that WhatsApp got here in Kenya, it is
easy to see why the Trend fans were up in arms over the lack of one for their
Larry’s post on his Facebook page read “So... After years of
being asked, begged, preached to and threatened, The Trend with Larry Madowo got
a WhatsApp number... FINALLY... 0738889136... Feel free to tuma salamz! (Feel
Free to send your greetings)”.
