Ladies, please wear clothes your size, no one sees the tag!

Nairobi - Over the years, the topic of women wearing the wrong bra size has overly dominated discussions in social circles. Women are always told that they are wearing the wrong size bras. It’s also the constant refrain we hear from bra manufacturers and fitters. Needless to say that even with many dismissing it, the health risks ranging from back pain, scarring on breasts and wrong posture are real health hazards. The problem is not just the bras but all forms of attire.
Women the world over, just seem not to get it; wearing the right size of attire makes you more comfortable and attractive than wearing smaller or bigger sizes. Ill-fitting clothes make you look shapeless and unsightly. It is very crucial for ladies, especially those blessed with a few love handles, to note that ill-fitting clothes draw unnecessary attention to your warts. In the age of a trillion cloth designs inventions every day, there is no excuse for wearing the wrong size of clothes.
Last night, I happened to hang out with a bunch of friends at a local joint. As we chat ever excitedly, a couple walked in. The lady had a flawless skin and cute Asian eyes. Everything about her was great until her dress came up. I am not a critic but since we are talking about this, we might as well be real and practical. She wore a mini skirt of faux leather color block panels on the front, with a solid back. If you are conversant with fashion, you would know how expensive the look ought to be. But believe me you, she looked awkward and uncomfortable, in the least. Being a size 18, I can’t fathom how she fit into a size 12! And yes, you are right; she was bursting out of the dress, walked like on hot charcoal and lacked confidence. She did no justice to herself, the dress and her date of course. There is nothing worse than hanging out with some uncomfortable person, they are usually over sensitive and may think you are viewing them in a negative way for whatever reasons.
I have tonnes of friends who insist they are size 14 yet they are at least 16. They dress one size lesser their actual size. The ultimate look is not flattering. And the opposite is true. There are many slender people who wear bigger sizes just for the sake of saying they are certain “epitomized” sizes. Recently, I gave out a good amount of my clothes, not because I have a surplus but because I realized they were all the wrong sizes. And this is a problem with many women. It's sad when slightly larger women wear clothes that are too small or big for them, drawing attention to unwanted fats or hiding gorgeous curves respectively.
I keep saying, wear the right size of clothes! No one sees the tag, but if it bothers you that much, just cut it off.
