Nairobi - The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP has approved prosecution of transport CS Micheal Kamau, ordered the closure of Lands CS Charity Ngilu's file and rejected the prosecution of Labour CS Kazungu Kambi.
The DPP announced Thursday that there was not enough evidence to push for a case against Kambi, saying that the evidence provided was not consequential enough to push for trial.
"After evaluation, the DPP has decided not to pursue the case against the accused (Kambi"," a statement said Thursday.
" DPP has also taken into account the numerous suits and petitions pending before the Employment and Labour Relations Court and the High Court challenging the legality and validity of the said appointments, it said of Kambi's case.
As for Lands CS Ngilu, the DPP agreed with the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC that there was not much to go with on her matter.
" There is no evidence to charge the accused (Ngilu)," the statement added.
Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Felix Koskei can only stand as a witness and not a suspect in a case involving a parastatal under his ministry," the DPP added.
