Kuria's confession should open your eyes, MP tells DP Ruto

22 September 2015, 14:38 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Kuresoi south member of parliament, Zakayo Cheruiyot wants deputy president William Ruto to open wide his eyes and see who took him to ICC following the confession made by Gatundu south MP, Moses Kuria.

Cheruiyot said that the people who fixed Ruto at the Hague are serving with him in the Jubilee government and that they should be forced to quit government.

Speaking Tuesday in Kuresoi town, Cheruiyot said that Ruto's worst enemies are within the Jubilee government and asked Ruto to take Kuria's remarks with the weight they deserve.

"Kuria was a strong defender of the Kibaki government and when he says they procured witnesses, he clearly knows what he is saying. His remarks should not be taken lightly. For a long time the Kalenjin people have been made to believe that it was Raila who took Ruto to the Hague but the truth has started unfolding and Ruto should open his eyes wide and see who wants him locked up at ICC," said Cheruiyot.

Cheruiyot added that Ruto should force President Kenyatta to expel from the government all officals who were part of the PNU team that implicated Ruto at the ICC.

"Ruto should hold Kuria and his cronies accountable for the troubles facing him at the Hague and he must force Kuria to say all he knows about case. Even the government must say all it knows about the Ruto case," he added.
