Kiyiapi attacks IEBC
23 July 2012, 14:41
RBK presidential candidate, James Ole Kiyiapi, has condemned IEBC for lacking a stand on Elections date saying that this will greatly interfere with the schooling calendar.
Kiyiapi was speaking on Sunday at Sirikwa Pentecostal Church in Eldoret where he attended a church service. He told the faithful that school going children will be greatly disadvantaged by the preparations of the elections since most of the schools will be used as polling stations during the electioneering time.
At the same time, he said that, the permanent secretaries’ scandal should be faced with the full force of the law, since nobody is above the law.
He lamented that it is a shame for public officials to allocate themselves houses illegally at the expense of the common mwananchi. He said this is a vice that should be rooted out in the public offices and that this trend is detrimental to the spirit of the new constitution and the economic growth of this nation at large.
