24 September 2014, 13:35 Victor Tinto

Nairobi - Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has ordered for the arrest of leaders and persons implicated in the Makueni shooting which saw five people injured.

Speaking Wednesday in Nairobi over the incident, Kimaiyo stressed that it is important for leaders to take security with the highest regard.

He said that it was out of order for leaders and their bodyguards to use firearms aimlessly.

" The said persons must report immediately to police to record statements over the matter that unfolded, he said.

The shooting, which was sparked by an impeachment motion against Governor Kivutha Kibwana caused furore amongst many for its lack of sense or decorum.
