Nairobi - Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has commended police officers who thwarted a terror attack plan by suspected terrorists in Mombasa.
The two suspects were arrested driving a vehicle packed with explosives on Monday.
“We reaffirm that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to peace and security,” Kimaiyo said on his twitter handle.
He assured Kenyans of the officers’ determination to combat all forms of terrorism, in accordance with its responsibilities.
“Any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation,” added Kimaiyo.
The IG also commended all police officers countrywide for their devotion and gallant fight against terror suspects.
