Nairobi - Nairobi governor, Evans Kidero has vowed to reposes public schools’ land that has been grabbed by some individuals in the county.
Speaking Wednesday at the stakeholders forum on education standards in public schools in the county, Kidero said he had reports of schools whose land was hived off and turned into other use by certain individuals.
“Be assured that even if one built a Tower of Babel on the grabbed land, that building will be brought down and the piece of land restored to the school,” said Kidero.
He said the schools’ boundaries will be restored to where they were and their title deeds revoked because they were acquired illegally.
According to Kidero, the county needs to rehabilitate and expand the existing infrastructure and build new schools to meet the increased population of Nairobi.
