Kidero visits Sonko's home

Nairobi - Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has consoled Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko over the death of his father after visiting his Nairobi home.
Sonko's father died last week and preparations for his burial are in top gear.
Kidero took time off his schedule Wednesday to visit Sonko's Runda residence and urged him and his family to stay strong.
" We are here to tell our brother that we are with him and to send regards of the Nairobi County government," he added.
Sonko thanked the Governor for his consoling words as well as visit.
The burial of Sonko's father Mzee Gideon Kioko Kivanguli.
President Uhuru Kenyatta has also mourned the late Mzee, saying the country had lost a great leader.
" Mzee Kivanguli was a humble, kind, generous and courageous elder. His devotion to family and church were outstanding. His counsel was often sought by and beyond his community," he said.
