Nairobi County governor Evans Kidero has on Tuesday unveiled the legal task force that will determine the reasons for the unusually high number of cases against the defunct city council of Nairobi.
Speaking during the unveiling of the team at city hall, Kidero said that the task force will recommend any changes in the management of the affairs of the County government to minimise legal disputes involving the city government.
He said that the legal task force will recommend the considerations to be taken into account in the procurement of legal services so as to ensure equity in service delivery.
“The task force has been appointed from the Law Society of Kenya, the office of the governor and the attorney general office,” said Kidero.
The newly appointed task force will report to the Govenor's office after 120 days of evaluating and verification of their reports concerning the County audit and the ongoing legal cases.
