Kidero starts his own rescue team
17 April 2015, 15:56
Nairobi - Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has started his own rescue team to rival that of Senator Mike Sonko.
The project by the Governor will see free emergency services handed out to city residents. The County government has already purchased the vehicles.
" The services will be launched Friday. They are to ease the plight of Nairobians," a source at the County boss' office told News24.
Sonko and Kidero have been in a war of attrition at the helm of the County, with Kidero last month banning the Sonko rescue team saying it was not duly registered.
The Sonko rescue team offers services such as ambulance and rescue, wedding, free water and excavation and security.
The two are expected to compete for the gubernatorial position in 2017.
