Kidero denies claims he supports Anglo Leasing payments

Nairobi - Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has vehemently denied claims that he supports the government's proposal to make the controversial Anglo Leasing payments.
The governor had been reported severally in the last two days as having been open to the government paying off KES 1.4 billion in payments to two European companies, in deals which has been deemed corrupt.
And with criticism on social media over his purported actions growing by the minute, Kidero was forced to state his stand over the matter.

Contrary to reports from a section of the media, I would wish to clarify that at no time did I recommend payment of the Anglo Leasing debt, he said.
" I called upon the authorities to prosecute the perpetrators of the heinous theft from the Kenyan people. The payment of such is criminal, he said.
