Kidero: Raila will win 2017 election
15 June 2015, 16:35
Nairobi - Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero says that CORD leader Raila Odinga will win the 2017 General Elections.
The CORD leader has yet to officially announce that he will vie for the elections but many within the opposition ranks expect him to stand for the elections and compete with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kidero says that Raila has the expertise to help Kenya move forward from the current problems being faced by the country and expects him to win and form the next government.
" Raila is the leader of the future. He will win the 2017 elections and I will ensure that Nairobi votes for him," he said Sunday during a rally in Nairobi's Lang'ata area.
Kidero believes that the current problems being faced in the country such as insecurity and corruption as well as the high cost of living would not exist with Raila in power.
" Raila will help us deal with these challenges and will move this country forward better than anyone else," he added.
The decision on whether Raila will run for the elections as well as who will support him will likely be made in 2016, with the elections a year or less to fruition.
His current co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula have not yet declared their willingness to run for the Presidency but it is expected they will throw their hats in the ring.
