Kenyans wait for election aftermath
05 March 2013, 14:13
Most workers in Nakuru county have not yet reported back to work after the election day.
A large percentage of the workers are those who operate small businesses on the streets, selling clothes and shoes and sometimes magazines.
On Tuesday, their stalls were empty and most of them are nowhere to be seen. This is a clear indication that they have not yet returned to work.
In Maili sita, some people went to their rural homes leaving the town deserted.
They claim that they will resume work after the winner of the presidential seat is announced since they are not sure of what might happen, with some claiming they are scared of a repeat of what happened in 2007.
For now, all we are doing is pray for peace in our country.
