Kenyans asked to pray for ailing Matiba

Nyeri - Family members of former Kiharu MP and veteran politician, Kenneth Matiba have appealed to residents of Murang’a County and Kenyans to pray for his quick recovery after he was admitted at a Nairobi hospital critically ill.
Matiba, who was recuperating in a Mombasa medical facility, was referred to Karen Hospital where he was admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after he developed breathing complications.
A family member, George Gachugu confirmed that Matiba was flown to Nairobi Wednesday evening after spending a week in a Mombasa hospital where he was receiving medication.

Gachugu noted that the 72-year-old politician who has been ailing for a long time started complaining of chest pains at the beginning of the week, adding that the situation worsened on Wednesday morning forcing the doctors to refer him to the Karen hospital.
“We as a family request people of goodwill to join us in praying for quick recovery of Mzee,” Gachugu said.
Gachugu further expressed optimism that the once opposition leader will get well soon and be discharged.
