Nairobi - Daily Nation columnist Njoki Chege has become a household name when it comes to media drama. She broke through to the limelight after she made a blogpost attacking Kenyan boys driving their blue Subaru’s and Toyota Mark II’s.
Men across the country were outraged by her comments, essentially pushing her to the top of the “To hate” list in 2014.
Her blog posts have even won her a fan in the form of Caroline Mutoko who put her in her top 5 list of “People You Could Not Ignore In 2014.”
She is back once more on the war path with those blue Subaru driving men out there in an article titled, "Why I would never date a man on Instagram.
She attacks the social photo sharing platform referring to it as “idiocy” and “annoying social media platform where wannabes, ne’er-do-wells, and riff-raffs post photos of their food, new shoes, cheap watches, cut-rate blue Subaru’s among other photoshopped pictures.”
She goes on to attack these boys driving blue Subaru’s by telling them that Instagram was meant for the rich and famous, and not for “you to show off your Sh 600,000 fly-by-night blue Subaru”.
She spreads her wings even further beyond just men driving blue Subaru’s and touches on “ egoistic Range Rover owners who live in a piece of sky known as an apartment in Hazina, South B” as well as “D-list Kenyan musicians to show off their hired choppers and borrowed Mercedes Benz.”
Her article has so far elicited quite a reaction form Kenyan men outraged by some of the things that she wrote. Read the original article by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1xwmcmW
