Kenyan rock band set for massive show
12 January 2015, 19:20
Nairobi - Yellow Light Machine have proven from time and time again
that they are the band to watch in the Kenyan music scene, and they are set to
start 2015 with a bang.
The band is set to make their mark on the scene in 2015
making their way onto the Thursday Night Live stage which has staged some of
the biggest acts out of Africa. The machine brings a certain freshness to a
scene that has been lacking in new ideas and has been looking for a new sound.
It is composed of 9 musicians, who through their youth and
innovation have managed to come out with the next generation of Afro Jazz, with
a distinctly Kenyan feel to it. They have over the years managed to wow the
crowds, and have grown to be one of the few loved bands from this generation,
borrowing a page from the likes of Elani and Sauti Sol.
They go live this Thursday the 15th at the
Choices bar and restaurant along Baricho road in
Nairobi’s industrial area. There will be no cover charge to come watch this
band showcase their talent, courtesy of Roots International. Check out what
will be in store for you this Thursday here: http://youtu.be/C4L2HOzRVwc
