Kenyan plus size ladies get their revenge
12 October 2015, 16:38
Nairobi - Njoki Chege, a Kenyan blogger, was the center of attention a
few weeks back after she published an article on her blog attacking plus size
women in Kenya.
She went on a scathing attack on these women, referring to them
as “The elephant in the room”, and openly claiming that “big” is not beautiful.
It is only fitting that on the 30th of this month, Kenyan are set to
celebrate plus sized models in the annual Miss Plus Size
Whether Njoki wrote her article knowing that this event was
meant to happen is anyone’s guess, but what is certain is that she will not be
a welcomed sight if ever she decided to show up there.
According to the
organizers the event is a celebration of the fashion industry’s success and
will feature 15 intensively trained plus sized models competing for the crown
of Miss Plus Size Kenya 2015.
