Nairobi - Kenya will sell electricity to Rwanda starting 2015, the Kenya Power company has said.
The deal, which kicks off early next year, will see Rwanda procure 30 Mega Watts MW of power from the country for its domestic purposes, as it sees increased growth in its economy.
The move will see the power transmitted to the Rwandese via Uganda.
" This will see the three countries work on a formula that will aim to see growth in electricity generation by up-to 400 Kilo Volts, the statement from Kenya Power said.
Rwanda is considered Africa's fastest growing economy.
