Nairobi - The Kenya national rugby 15 a side team arrived safely in Windhoek Namibia in preparation for the start of the 2013 tri-nations tourney.
The group of 24 players and six staff landed in Namibia late Sunday and will face Zimbabwe in their opening match of the series on Tuesday. Hosts Namibia complete the three team line-up.
KRFU chairman Mwangi Muthee confirmed the team's safe arrival.
" They arrived safely last night, he said. This is a very important tournament for the team ahead of its preparations for the RWC 2015 qualifiers in Madagascar next June.
Head coach Jerome Paarwater said that he is looking forward to the challenge.
" We are going to Namibia to do well and the challenge for us is to compete sufficiently. We will need to be combative.
