Under 20 Girls' team departs for Zambia

Nairobi - The Kenya Under 20 Girls’ team will be leaving the country on Thursday evening for Zambia where they are scheduled to play the first leg match for the World Cup Under 20 Qualifiers.
The team will meet a Zambian side boosted by their senior men’s win at the African Cup of Nations Just a few days ago.
Coach Florence Odhiambo exudes confidence that her charges are in the correct mental and tactical spirit to down the Zambian ladies.
“We have trained well and I am sure that we are going to have good results. I have faith in the girsl and I believe they can do it. We want to have a good outing there probably come out with a draw at worst then we finish off with a splendid result at home in two weeks time”, she says.
Kenya Qualified for the second round after a 4-2 home and away win against Lesotho. They beat the Central African Nation 2-0 at home before forcing a 2-2 draw in Maseru.
