Nyeri - The Kenya Power has set aside KES 130 million to light up Nyeri town ahead of the beatification ceremony of Sister Irene Stefani.
Streetlights have been installed along the paths and venues where the ceremony will take place.
Kenya power managing director, Ben Chumo has said they will ensure the venues are well lit ahead of the international event.
The announcement came days after Internal Security Principal Secretary, Joseph Irungu announced that the national government would take over preparations for the occasion.
