Kenya Airways to resume flights to Juba
01 January 2014, 17:36
Nairobi - National carrier Kenya Airways will resume flights to Juba on Thursday after a ten day hiatus.
The airline had stopped its flights to the oil rich state due to the ongoing unrest in the country but with tensions reducing and a ceasefire having been reached between the warring parties, they have found it necessary to resume flights.
"Kenya Airways wishes to inform its customers and the general public that it will resume flights to Juba on January 2, 2014.
" This follows suspension of the flights to Juba between December 24, 2013 and December 31, 2013, the company said in a statement.
The resumption of flights will be a boost to the nation which is struggling to regain its stability after weeks of fighting.
