Nairobi - Labour secretary Kazungu Kambi's credentials have once again come under scrutiny, with a petition in place in parliament looking to have him kicked out of his position.
Kambi has previously been under scrutiny over his credentials, a matter which has never really gone to bed and this time, he risks being kicked out of office over a spat with a number of trade unions.
The unions have placed the petition in parliament over Kambi's move to shift some from the umbrella of the Central Organization of Trade Unions COTU.
The unions numbering 30, say that Kambi's ploy to move them to the Public Servants Trade Unions PUSETU is wrong and ill judged.
" The secretary is risking the wrath of a big number of trade Unions and that may cost him in the long run, a source said.
Thus the petition in parliament mooted by Bomet Central MP Ronald Tonui seeking to have Kambi removed from office for his lack of credentials.
" The qualifications of Hon Kazungu Kambi have never been offered in the clear light of day and thus it is important that he does so to allow the public finally close this matter, the source added.
The petition is set to be placed on the floor of the house next week where debate on it will begin.
Previously, Kambi has appeared calm over questions raised regarding his credentials.
" It is not a worry for me. I know who I am and what I have achieved, he has previously said.
