Nairobi - Wiper Democratic Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka says he is disappointed that Makueni County has failed to resolve issues that have led to the impeachment of Governor Kivutha Kibwana.
Kibwana was Thursday evening impeached by his County Assembly in a move that many experts say was coming after weeks of accusations and counter accusations.
The writing had been on the wall Monday when Kalonzo called for emergency talks and after those failed, the inevitable happened.
Kalonzo, who is currently in South Africa had called on members of the County Assembly to await his return before looking at an impeachment motion but they did not heed his word and went on with the impeachment.

He says he is disappointed with the outcome.
" It is disappointing that the Members of County Assembly in Makueni and the County Government could not reach an amicable solution to the ongoing problems," he said.
" It would have been better to exhaust dialogue before taking any other action and thus it is disappointing to say the least, he said in a short statement.
Kibwana's fate will now be decided at the Senate, with Speaker of the house Ekwee Ethuro to be informed in writing of the development in the County by the Speaker of the Assembly from where he will form a committee to probe the impeachment.
