Kalamashaka set for album launch

Nairobi - One of Kenya’s oldest hip-hop groups, attributed to the rise
of the culture in the country is back once more, making their way back onto the
scene with the launch of a new album.
Kalamashaka, make their comeback after
years of absence with the release of their new album called The End of the
Beginning (Mwisho Mwanzo).
It is set to be released this weekend on the 12 December at the Tree House in Westlands.
The group composed of Oteraw, Kama and Johny was formed in
1990 and disappeared from the scene after a few years due to internal issues.
Their hit song “Fanya Mambo” was set to hurl them to the very top of the
African scene if not the global scene, but their issues were too deep to

scene that seems to be going stale, and everyone hopes that for the best from
their new album. They come backed up by one of the most electrifying bands in
the scene called Yellow Light, making the event a must
Tickets are going for KES 1000 for advance purchases, KES 1200 for gate
purchases and KES 2000 for VIP tickets.
