Nairobi - The late Homa Bay Senator Otieno Kajwang will be buried Friday at his Mbita home in what is expected to be an emotional ceremony.
The ceremony is already underway and is expected to be attended by Governors, Senators and MPs, especially those affiliated to the CORD coalition.
Kajwang died last week of heart complications at the Mater hospital in Nairobi.
CORD leader Raila Odinga is expected to lead the mourning. It is not yet confirmed if there will be official government representation at the funeral.
During his body viewing at the Kisumu Stadium Thursday, leaders paid tribute to the late Kajwang as a person of high integrity and vision.
He was also revered as a great lawyer and a candid personality as well as strong entertainer.
CORD leader Odinga has already stated that Kajwang's death is a huge blow to his party and on a personal level, saying that he did not go a day without speaking to the late senator.
