Nairobi - A Jubilee Alliance Party JAP Kajiado Central aspirant has decamped to the Orange Democratic Movement ODM after what he termed as a fraudulent nomination process.
Memusi Kanchori announced Monday that he had decamped to ODM over what he described as a fraudulent nomination process held by Jubilee over the weekend which saw Moses Tutui named the party's candidate.
Kanchori said that he had decided to go back to ODM, a party he and his supporters feel will represent them better.
" I felt led down by the whole process and system. They created an illusion that the nomination process we a free and fair though it was not the case," he said.
Kanchori called the nomination a well planned Public Relations process that was perfectly motored by the party bosses.
He was welcomed to ODM by Secretary General Ababu Namwamba in Nairobi Monday.
'' We are very confident of doing well in the by election and retaining our seat and such support is very welcome," he said.
The by election will be held on March 17, 2015 and will look to fill the seat left vacant by the ascension of Joseph Nkaissery to the cabinet.
