Nyeri - Maendeleo ya Wanaume Organization has supported Kiambu Governor William Kabogo’s remarks that single women should not be elected as political leaders.
The organization chairman, Nderitu Njoka said the remarks of Kabogo are well thought adding that the Governor has nothing to apologize for and that women should buy the policy instead of running away from the natural orders of God.
“I am also proposing the same draft Bill in parliament which is among 50 other Bills in my new book that is set to be launched next week titled 'Kenya at 50 and Beyond'. What the governor failed to state is that this rule should apply to both men and women,” he added.
The chairman, while speaking on phone, said political and social leaders should be married since leadership, good morals, respect, obedience, integrity, responsibility and accountability starts at the family level.
“Charity begins at home. It is a divine experience to implement this principle,” he noted.
He said women should be role models by also encouraging their daughters to not only marry but stay put in marriage instead of promoting gender apartheid.
