Kabogo unapologetic over hate comments
02 November 2015, 19:01
Nairobi - Kiambu Governor William Kabogo says he is ready to defend himself in court and sees his comments about CORD leader Raila Odinga as the truth.
Speaking outside the CID headquarters after being interrogated Monday evening, Kabogo stated that he had said the remarks in frustration over the continued attacks on President Uhuru Kenyatta by opposition leaders.
" The disrespect for the President is too much and someone had to speak up. We will meet in court if there is anything else to discuss," he stated.
He had said over the weekend that Raila and Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama should let Uhuru be. He referred to Raila as an uncircumcised man and stated that he would walk into Muthama's mother's house to silence him.
Kabogo will be arraigned in court later in the week to answer to charges of hate speech and incitement.
