Kabogo taken in by CID over hate speech
02 November 2015, 16:28
Nairobi - Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has been taken in by the CID and will record a statement over his hate speech utterances.
Kabogo is in trouble with the authorities for using utterances termed as inflammatory towards CORD leader Raila Odinga and Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama during a rally in Thika Town over the weekend.
He was quoted as saying that uncircumcised men like Odinga and others like Muthama should cease going after President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kabogo will record his statement at the CID headquarters in Nairobi.
The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP had stated that Kabogo must answer for his utterances.
The latest hate speech slur comes in the wake of similar ones in recent times by former Nairobi mayor George Aladwa and Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.
