Kabogo linked murder inquiry set to resume

03 November 2015, 17:34 William Korir

Nairobi - The office of the Director of Public prosecutions DPP wants a case in which a woman was murdered after attending a party hosted by Kiambu Governor William Kabogo revived.

According to DPP Keriako Tobiko, the case investigating Mercy Keino's death will be re-opened as new evidence has shown that she was injured by human interference before she died.

Also, he says, there is evidence of tampering with evidence in the matter.

Tobiko had ordered a public inquest into her death after police investigations failed to establish the truth behind her mysterious demise.

" There is need to ensure that the case is investigated to the end to ascertain the truth," he stated.

Keino’s body was found on Waiyaki Way two years ago, after she attended a party hosted by Kiambu Governor William Kabogo at Wasini Luxury Suites in Nairobi.

Kabogo, in his testimony, denied assaulting Keino but admitted being in the same party with her.
