Kabete voters do not want Waititu

Nairobi - Voters do not want Ferdinand Waititu to be the next Kabete MP.
The voters want the former Embakasi MP to be withdrawn from running for the May 5 Kabete by election because of his past record as regards integrity.
Godffrey Mwaki and Joseph Njuguna are seeking to compel the Independent Electoral and Boundaries
Commission IEBC to bar the former Embakasi MP from contesting under the Jubilee Alliance Party JAP.
The two argue that Waititu does not meet the requisite
threshold as stipulated in Chapter 6 of the Constitution on Integrity
and Leadership due to the numerous court cases he is currently involved
" The respondent's integrity is in question having been mentioned in several cases and matters and thus he does not have the requisite threshold to run for office," they said.
The Kabete parliamentary seat was left vacant after the murder of former MP George Muchai in Nairobi.
