KPL second leg gets underway

The Kenya Premier League (KPL) resumed this past weekend with the usual culprits in the League recording impressive results with the defending Champions Tusker FC moulding flower boys from Naivasha Oserian FC, 4 goals to 1 in a game that was played at Kasarani to ensure they return back at the top of the league with 32 points; same with Sofapaka who are less in goals and who are set to play AFC in a mouth watering game to be played later this week.

Dennis Mukasi opened up the score board for the Tusker side in the 36th minute of the first half before the new kid in the bloc Joshua Oyoo made things to be 2 goals in the 46th minute of the second half before Erasto Ndege completed the damage with a final struck in the 62 to earn the three vital pints to Tusker FC, while Charles Odette pulled 1 goal back for the visitors side in the 82 minute but still that was enough to rescue their sinking boat.

Elsewhere the military men ensured the continued with where they had left before in the first leg as they demolished the Muhoroni Youths with a 2 goals to 1 in a game that was played at Muhoroni Stadium.

Geoffrey Kokoyo produced an astonishing struck in the 62 minute to earn the visitors Ulinzi FC a clear lead in the second half before Collins Neto equalized in the 73rd minute of the second half before once again the army side bounce back with a bang as wycliff Ochomo rapped up things with a thunderous struck to the net earning Ulinzi the win of the 3 pints climbing all the way to the fourth position in the league.

In another game that was played at City Stadium, KCB were not left out on the score sheet after the sugar cane farmers Sony Sugar FC were left packing as they were thrashed 1 goal to nil which came courtesy of Ishmail Dungu to earn the bankers the important win.

And in match played on Saturday afternoon, Thika United playing at home against boys from the City were harmed 1goal to nil by the visitors side City Stars that left Thika United mark timing in the fifth position in League Table.

While the Kogalo army side run riot at Mumias Stadium beating the homeboys 2 goals to 1 silencing the fans that had turned up to watch game at the arena. the win left Gor Mahia climbing to 6th position with 23 points, 3 points behind Thika United who have 26 points.
