Nairobi - 225 people will be deported from the country in the ongoing terror swoop, Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has said.
"The persons have failed to produce valid identification documents and will thus be deported, a statement from Kimaiyo said.
Of the 225, 214 are Somali, six Ethiopian, two Ugandan and one each from Tanzania, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo DRC.
According to the statement, 412 have been identified as refugees and will thus be resettled in refugee camps in Northern Kenya with 313 others set to be arraigned in court to answer to various offences.
It further says that just over 1,100 people have been screened at the Kasarani detention camp and 18 released.
Kimaiyo also said that the ongoing swoops in the country will continue to ensure that the illegal elements are all dispensed with.
" The swoop will continue until the government is satisfied that things are in order, he said.
