KES 2.1 trillion FY 2015/16 budget allocations in figures

Nairobi – About KES 1.51 trillion of the Parliament’s approved National Budget’s KES 1.998 trillion for the Financial Year 2015/16 to be read by National Treasury CS, Henry Rotich on Thursday is for expenditure by three major state organs including the National Government, Judiciary and Parliament while KES 287 billion will go to the counties.

The budget estimates report reveals that the National Budget’s KES 786.8 billion will cater for recurrent expenditure, KES 721 billion for development expenditure, KES 229.8 billion for consolidated fund services, KES 5 billion for contingencies fund and KES 6 billion for equalization fund.

KES 1.51 trillion Budget estimates for National Government bodies will be allocated as follows;

The Presidency

KES 7.7 billion will be allocated to the Presidency for the Cabinet, Government Advisory Services, State House Affairs, and the Deputy President (DP) Affairs where the DP’s office will get KES 1 billion.

KES 93 billion for Devolution Ministry

KES 92 billion for Defence Ministry
