KES 10 000 cash prize for youth who intermarry

Kiminini - Kiminini MP, Chris Wamalwa has promised to award cash to youth in his constituency who marry from other communities.
He said that the move would help in eradicating tribalism and nepotism which he blamed for the slow development progress in the country.
Speaking at Chris Wamalwa Primary school in his constituency, Wamalwa said he has decided to roll out the initiative for the betterment of the country.
Wamalwa said each couple will receive a prize of KES 10 000.

“When a youth marries a person from different ethnic community, he will receive KES 5 000 and another KES 5 000 after getting the first born,” declared Wamalwa.
Wamalwa however said only those who conduct wedding ceremonies qualify for the award.
