KES 1 million bid made for Mdzomba's cane

Kwale - A leader allied to CORD alliance in Kwale County has warned former PM Raila Odinga against meeting the person who whipped him together with Kwale Governor, Salim Mvurya, in public last month.
Tiwi ward representative, Omar Mwakwambirizwa, said Raila should not at all meet Lengo Mdzomba and asked him to ignore his request for the sake of his security.
Raila has indicated that he is ready to meet Mdzomba upon request saying he was worried about his safety because people in the streets are tormenting him wherever he goes, a move that has forced him to move from the home in Kinango where he used to work in a bid to save his face.

Mdzomba said that a face-to-face meeting with the CORD Principal and Kwale Governor might solidify forgiveness.
"Everywhere I go, CORD supporters tell me that I am the man who hit their President. My conscience is clear and I have accepted wholly that it was an act of stupidity,'' he said.
Mdzomba said that he was keen on taking up the role of a peace ambassador to preach peace among Kenyans. But Mwakwambirizwa is of the opinion that Mdzomba is up to something mischievous which can be avoided if Raila ignores his meet-up request.
He sensationally claimed that the incident was well planned and money dished out saying the balance will be awarded to Mdzomba only if he completes his work of eliminating Raila.

“Raila already forgave Mdzomba. Why does he want to meet him now and for what reasons? We are reading mischief. That is a clear indication he wants to finish him and that is something we cannot allow as leaders,” said Mwakwambirizwa.
Mwakwambiriwa said they have information that some people want to buy the stick that used to can Raila and Mvurya at KES 1 million, meaning it was a plan to embarrass the leaders.
“I personally advise Raila to forget about the issue and continue with his work. Mdzomba has no good plans for him. We don’t need Mdzomba any more; what he did to our leader in public is enough,” he added.

He wondered why Mdzomba at the first place spoke about referendum campaign spearheaded by Raila moments after canning him, insisting that he has mental lapse.
“Kenyans are forgetting that leadership of this country will lose respect to the common mwananchi because such a thing is not good just like the Migori incident where locals threw shoes to the President,” said the MCA.
He said that such behaviors are taking the country back to 20 years ago or more when leaders supported hooliganism.
Mdzomba has a case in court of creating disturbance after two charges of assault were withdrawn; he is out on cash bail of KES 2 500 which was paid by Haki Africa, a human right organisation.
