Bungoma - A form four candidate at St Luke’s Boys High School Kimilili in Bungoma County will be forced to sit for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) behind bars after he was nabbed with three rolls of bhang at the institution.
The student was handed over to police by the school principal Patrick Wandili and was later arraigned at the Kimilili Magistrate Court last week.
“We found him with bhang hidden in his box in the dormitory after a tip-off from other students. I handed him over to the police who estimated that the marijuana had a street value of KES 20,000," the principal told journalists.

The student appeared before Kimilili Principal Magistrate Martha Nanzushi, who ruled that the young man be held in remand, awaiting ruling of the case on 16 November.
Nanzushi further instructed that the student should sit for the exams while in police custody.
