Nairobi - KBC presenter Anyiko Awoko was last night robbed of her belongings right outside of State House as she was on her way home.
The presenter famed for her role in the presentation of KBC’s feature urban news show Grapevine went to social media to express her concern over the state of security in the country.
She said “Being robbed at gun point right outside State House is a true reflection of our country's state of no security. Pissed yet glad to be alive.”
Thankfully the presenter was left unscathed by the thieves, though her belongings of unknown value were stolen from her.
National security has been a major topic of discussion since the Jubilee regime took over from the former head of state Mwai Kibaki. Concerns have been raised about it, and stern words have been thrown at the people involved in the crime wave by the top brass, but things seem to be getting worse.
Anyiko getting robbed right outside of the president's home sums up just how bad things have become.
