K-Rep bank managers charged with robbery

Two Nyeri branch K- Rep bank managers have been charged in a Nyeri court with robbery of Sh 5.2 million.
The branch overall manager Dominic Kiragu Warui and Operations Manager Harrison Kyalo Mumanga faced the charge of Robbery with violence after the disappearance of Sh 5.2 million which was stolen recenlty.
The two were charged with others not before court that on 18/09/2012 at K –Rep Bank Nyeri branch within Nyeri county armed with dangerous weapons namely pistols and machetes robbed Wilson Muthaura Mitire of cash Sh 5.2 million and immediately after the time of such robbery threatened to use actual violence to the said Muthaura.
They denied the charges before Nyeri Senior Principal Magistrate Shadrack Okato.
They were remanded until the mention 3rd of next month.
The hearing was fixed to be on 22nd of next month.
