Nairobi - The Jubilee coalition is targeting Ford Kenya leader Moses Wetang'ula to try kill the Luhya vote ahead of the 2017 General Election.
The allegation has been made by Kakamega Senator Bonn Khalwale who has warned the coalition that they will have no luck in trying to finish off the Bungoma Senator.
Khalwale termed reports that Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro was involved in plots to finish off Wetang'ula as a mark of their fear of the CORD leader.
" There is a deliberate plot by the executive to kill off Wetangula and that has been shown by the words and actions of the Jubilee coalition," Khalwale said Tuesday.
Ethuro has been told by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC to start the process of deregistering Wetang'ula from the voters register after he was found guilty of voter bribery by the High Court.
Wetangula has also been through a by election after the Courts found his actions ensured the Bungoma elections were not free and fair.
He however beat Musikari Kombo in a by election.
" Wetangula will not stop from pushing the government and the actions of a few people will not deter him and Luhya people from fighting for the betterment of the lives of Kenyans by ending corruption and forcing the government to conform," he added.
He was flanked by over 20 MPs and Senators from the CORD coalition.
